John L. Myers wrote numerous scholarly articles about Anti-Slavery Agents, on which this study depends. He has also written three extensive volumes about Henry Wilson.
Signature of John Oscar Burleigh in his copy of the fourth edition of William Jay's An Inquiry into the Character and Tendency of the American Colonization, and the American Anti-Slavery Society. This copy of the book was donated to the American Antiquarian Society by John Oscar Burleigh's son, Charles Hartwell Burleigh, and remains in their collection.
