Follow-Up Bilingual 2030 Panel Discussion

Going bilingual is a good transition but many feel that 2030 is too soon and too idealistic a goal.
 
The Taiwan government wants students to be learning in English in HS, but the benefits do not equal the cost.
 
There are many questions as to why Taiwan needs to be bilingual.

Singapore is a good model because they have made English the official language and the government fully supports the transition.  All their signage is now in English.
 
*For bilingual art lessons to be successful teachers will need to use artwork that is more local and familiar to minimize how alien English feels.
