Mentioned in Sydney Southworth letter to GSB. He uses "sister" here in a soul-sister way rather than literally. 1844-02-11: "If you could make it in your way to call on the Martins, in Brooklyn, you might have a profitable time yourself, and do them much good. Serepta and Elisabeth are dear sisters, and are striving for the better life. So is Lincoln, their brother, who is, I fear, going to die." (He was right about that dolorous prediction, too) - Associated Causes
- Abolition
