My Musicians
Gladly I drink the sound of roaring seas,
And love the music of the slant-wise rain
In the deep grass or on the window pane;
The pebble brook along the ferny leas,
And whispering winds among the forest trees
Mixed with the murmur of bee-haunted grain,
White-bloomed & odorous over all the plain,
Breathe audible sweetness that my ??? ???
And if I shiver at the iterant clang
Of beaten wire & blare of wind-vexed brass
?? cleans the news to which my sirens song
In deep wood-hollows among scented grass
??called by that music to poet’s dream
?? could not wake to hear a less melodious t theme.
