Bright from the east pours the radiance new
Flooding the World so fair,
To diamonds & pearls transmuting the dew,
And kindling with glory the air.
From forest or orchard the notes of some bird,
That sings from the tremendous spray
A jubilant song of thanksgiving is heard,
For the birth of another glad day.
With Melodious murmurs the rivulets flow
From founts at the base of the hill;
With embraces & kisses they meet far below
And repose in the lake hushed & still.
Watching their slumbers, the sentinel trees
Encircle the couch of their love,
With aeolian music the zephyr-like breeze
Sings through the green branches above.
