Worthier Saint, The
Two goodly cords were to the Apostles given—
One to St. Peter, one to ex-St. Judas—
That bound free souls by knots confirmed in heaven;
This hung himself, no longer to delude us.
Humanity, in bonds of priest and pope,
Groans out: "St. Judas better used his rope!"
